Catch My Breath Vaping Prevention curriculum was introduced into Carteret County schools in December of 2022 in all middle schools 6th, 7th and 8th grade. 

CATCH My Breath’s peer-led teaching approach empowers students with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed decisions about e-cigarettes and resist social pressures to vape. Informed by tobacco youth prevention researchers and practitioners, years of real world implementation, and a youth advisory board, it is the only school-based vaping prevention program proven to reduce the likelihood of vaping among youth.

Carteret County Schools 

The evidence based CATCH My Breath Nicotine vaping prevention program, was taught in all Carteret County Middle Schools. Approximately 1,500 students were reached, includes 6th, 7th and 8th grade.  This was implemented in partnership with the Carteret County Schools in 2022.
