Description
Because there is an identified need for broad improvements in Brain Health in our community, broad use of brain health assessment and screening tools will help providers and others in the community identify individuals who are at increased risk of poor brain health outcomes or who need to be linked with treatment opportunities and also identify individuals who could benefit from prevention efforts. Because there can be stigma associated with Brain Health and seeking treatment other resources, providing our community with a positive frame of reference is essential to our success.
Screenings and linkage to services in a non-stigmatizing way will help individuals who need them receive prevention and treatment services. Some of these individuals don't know what signs or symptoms of a problem to look out for, so utilizing screenings can help identify people who aren't able to recognize they have a need.
