You Quit, Two Quit (YQTQ) was launched in July 2008. The program was initiated by UNC Center for Maternal and Infant health. YQTQ supports comprehensive tobacco use screening and cessation counseling for women of reproductive age, before, between and beyond pregnancy. The Women and Tobacco Coalition for Health (WATCH) serves as the Advisory Committee for this project.

WATCH has offered You Quit, Two Quit to every county in North Carolina. The program encourages women to have a healthy pregnancy while staying away from harmful products such as tobacco, in which will put the child and mother at risk during pregnancy.

You Quit, Two Quit provides training to the Anson County Staff on tobacco use and cessation counseling to our Prenatal and Family Planning patients.

The program is evaluated by the number of staff who completed the YQTQ certification as well as the number of patients who complete the program before, during, or after pregnancy.

You Quit, Two Quit was not active during 2023.
