Summary of 2-Year Action Strategy
2022-2023: Address safety concerns through reviewing driver training, assessing rider perceptions, and involving parents in 'ride the route' days with their children. Expand access through advocating for and developing funding strategy for free transit for all young people (0-24), building on current New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA) fare restructure pilot.

RIDE hosting Transit Week (Sept. 19-25) to celebrate transit riders and the transit transformations they’ve inspired and advocated for + serve an opportunity for outreach/communication on New Links implementation through sharing of resources and info. September 25 is the official launch day of New Links. Ride will host a Transit Treasure Hunt on Sept. 25 to encourage youth in feeling safe and comofortable navigating RTA's New Links changes. |
