Question Persuade Refer (QPR) is a training program for Gatekeepers and Primary Care Providers in Craven County. The mission of QPR is to reduce suicidal behaviors and save lives by providing practical and proven suicide prevention training.

Key Components Covered in Training:

• How to Question, Persuade and Refer someone who may be suicidal

• How to get help for yourself or learn more about preventing suicide

• The common causes of suicidal behavior

• The warning signs of suicide

• How to get help for someone in crisis

Who We Serve: Professionals and the community. 

How We Impact: By giving people the tools to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help will save lives. 

Due to Covid-19, no classes were held in 2020 or 2021. As the community opened back up, the training agency faced staff vacancies and no trainings were held in 2022. With the training agency again fully staffed, we were able to facilitate four community trainings in 2023.
