What We Do
The Carteret County Rape Crisis Program is committed to healing and empowering survivors of sexual victimization; challenging people and institutions to be more responsive and responsible to all survivors; and eliminating sexual assault and abuse from our community and our society. Carteret County Rape Crisis Program began in 1986 to address the needs of victims/survivors of rape and sexual assault. The program serves victims/survivors of sexual assault and rape.
The CCRC program partners with other agencies to sponsor community awareness events.

Who We Serve
The program serves people in Carteret County and surrounding counties.
How We Impact
The program offers 24 hour crisis line, short and long-term counseling, medical and legal advocacy and assistance with victim's compensation forms. The Health Department co-sponsors an annual Sexual Assault Awareness event beginning in Spring 2023.
