Story Behind the Curve
The Community of Practice continues to grow both in the number of trainings offered and the numbers of practioners served. The breadth of content has also expanded to impact organizations both within Montgomery County and the State of Maryland.
There is a great demand for trainings that are free or low cost particularly for small non-profits.
Measures
The Collaboration Council is establishing a Youth Development Community of Practice (CoP) infrastructure for practitioners serving youth who are disconnected from school and work. Unlike a typical provider network, a CoP refers to a collection of like-minded practitioners with a shared identity around a collective action who interact to learn from each other, help one another, and build a repertoire of resources to ensure more effective knowledge creation and sharing in their domain.
