What We Do
Description/Objective:
This investment pays for direct care at-cost at Rutland Regional Medical Center (RRMC) related to Level 1 inpatient care. RRMC is a community hospital that provides preventive, diagnostic, acute and rehabilitative services the region, including inpatient psychiatric services. Six (6) inpatient beds at RRMC are designated to provide Level 1 care.
Level 1 is a tier of hospital-level care legislatively mandated by 2012 Act 79, an act reforming the mental health system of care in Vermont. Level 1 inpatient care is reserved for adults, generally in the custody of the Mental Health Commissioner, who are the most acutely distressed and who require additional resources.
