The following are new initiatives or changes in our community since 2019:

Clay County Manager resigned 2019.
Clay County Health Department had a 58% turnerover with all leadership positions needing to be replaced.
Southwire Cable closing March 2020. This will cause a loss of 45 employment opportunities within Clay County.
New Clay County Elementary School in construction and opening fall 2020.
New Clay County High School sports complex to be completed fall 2020.
New jail health program to provide Hep A/B vaccines along with STI testing to those that are incarcerated through a grant.
New Clay County Paramedicine program.
New Clay County Health Department Strategic Plan.
Mountain Projects received a grant to help with the cost of Reconnect for Resiliency Training.
Clay County School personnel have taken Resiliency training.
