Progress Made in 2019
The following are new initiatives or changes in our community in 2019:
- NC Med-Assist - FREE Over the Counter (OTC) Medicine Give Away Day on Saturday, September 21st. The event was open to all Swain County residents and their families needing OTC medication. 700 Swain County residents were served.
The following are recurring initiatives in our community in 2019:
- 3rd annual Heart Health Event
- Diabetes Prevention Program is on-going
- Restoration Community Garden is on-going

- 4th Annual Heart Health Event (now known as Adult Health Fair)
