How We Impact
Increasing and improving mental and behavioral health resources for Coachella Valley residents has long been a priority for the Desert Healthcare District and Foundation Board. The Desert Healthcare District accomplishes this by collaborating with community partners to address current and future behavioral health needs and by providing grant funding to support behavioral health programs/projects that advocate improving the psychological, emotional, physical, and social well-being of residents in Coachella Valley. Additionally, the Desert Healthcare District leads a Coachella Valley Behavioral Health Collective that comprised of over 60 collaborative partners working to address gaps in the region’s behavioral health workforce, to improving access to behavioral health services and resources, and to follow the development of state legislation around behavioral health.
