Description
Coordinated Approach to Child Health Global Foundation is a non-profit organization that was started in 2014 to increase the availability and adoption of evidence-based health programs. CATCH was founded as partnership with the University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHealth) and MD Anderson Cancer Center. CATCH focuses on focus on improving health in under-resourced communities to address health equity where the disparities are greatest.
CATCH offers health and wellness programs and training for:
- Nutrition Education
- Physical Activity & Physical Education
- Vaping Prevention (CATCH My Breath)
- Social & Emotional Learning (SEL)
- Whole Child wellness policy, systems, and environment (PSE).
Progress in 2022 - 2023
The Halifax County Health Department partners with local elementary and middle schools to provide support for the implementation of the CATCH program. The health department organizes Walk, Bike and Roll to School Day held in the Spring of each year.
