Yadkin County Human Services Agency & Hands of Hope collaborated with neighboring county partners to provide resources for those struggling with food insecurity, homelessness, etc. Some of the resources included: Second Harvest Mobile Food Bank for weekly food and hygiene kits; Shepherd's House Mobile Street Outreach Services bi-monthly. Integrated Care of Greater Hickory also provides information for substance abuse & recovery services in collaboration with Shepherd's House.

This mobile crisis assistance was something relatively new to the county and really took hold at the end of 2024. Currently, Integrated Care of Greater Hickory (ICGH) has designated days they are setting up at our free clinic, Hands of Hope, to provide information, limited treatment and resources to those in need of care. The Shepherd's House has also been holding outreach events within the county to reach the unhoused population and gain a greater understanding of the needs.
