Offered to all school communities in the neighborhood.  Includes four surveys: Student grades 3-5, Students gardes 6-12, Staff, Family

II. Sampling Frame and Design

1.  Size

There were 3,178 students in 3rd-12th grade enrolled in STEPS schools

2.  Coverage of Population

All districts and schools in the STEPS neighborhood region participated in the survey.

3.  Stratification

The survey is weighted by the American Institute for Research.

5.  Source of Sample

Students take the survey at school in the classroom, accounting for the large response rate. Families and staff are mostly self-selected. Families and staff receive electronic and in-person communications inviting to take the survey via an online link. Some sites also provide opportunities for families to take the survey on site.
