Story Behind the Curve
Our work impacts Utahns in many ways. One way is through the data we provide from our autopsy and examination reports. These reports provide data that improves public health, public safety, criminal justice, and civil justice. Additionally, completing these reports in a timely manner supports the decedent's loved ones so they can access support and survivor benefits. However, many factors affect how quickly the reports are completed.
We are tracking how long it takes different staff members to complete reports to better understand any barriers staff members face and to provide resources that improve report completion rates.
