Strengthening partnerships allows us to more effectively serve our populations in need and provide opportunities for enhancing the quality of life in our community.  Portland's Children Levy funds early childhood, child abuse prevention/intervention, afterschool, mentoring and hunger relief programming, as well as additional supportive services for children and youth in foster care.  Program activities include parent education, childcare, family mental health support, tutoring and afterschool enrichment, college/career preparation and transition support, school and community based food pantries, and gardening/nutrition education.  PP&R partner funding supports a wide range of summer camps, sports, arts, nature activities, after school programs, job skills training and employment opportunities for youth and teens provided by our partners.  Arts and Culture grants provide essential resources to local arts organizations, and funding supports a wide range of activities and creative outputs—from theater and art classes to dance performances and free community events and concerts.

Nearly 600 partner organizations and individual artists supported financially. Of the total, Arts and Culture supported 317 individual artists and 206 organizations, Portland Children's Levy supported 50 organizations, and Portland Parks and Recreation supported 25 partner agencies with grants.

This is a combined metric for a new Service Area structure that was created in FY 23-24, so historic data for this combined metric does not exist for prior fiscal years.

This number includes a count of specific organizations as well as individual artists receiving funding support.
