Action Plan
The Prairie Winds District which serves 7 counties, including Story County, has its sights set on continued growth and a higher percent of the families in Story County being served. The District is served by 2 Professional Scouters, a District Committee, a Commissioner Staff and hundreds of unit leaders that keep Scouting strong. The District is looking forward to the additional youth that will be served with the addition of girls. The membership committee has been conducting recruitments in the fall and will be be adding additional Scout Units to support the increase in membership. The paln is to welcome families to Scouting and to serve them as efficiently as possible, by making it easy for families to take part and not be pulled in so many directions at once.
