Story Behind the Curve
This measure is important because it is an indicator of how OCM resources are allocated across the IT projects that have a need for change management support.
If a planned change (process, technology, organizational, or otherwise) requires people to do their jobs differently, the project can benefit from OCM support. OCM leads are assigned to projects based on the potential impact on end users. Partnering with program leadership to assign OCM resources to the projects where it is most beneficial will enable us to leverage the resources we have in the way that delivers the most value.
The trendline has been holding pretty steady right around the goal of 80% with a few variances in either direction. This shows that we are maximizing our resources by allocating only to projects that have an impact on end users. This measure will fluctuate based on external factors such as the number of active projects and the internal reality of limited OCM resources.
