Story Behind the Curve
The number of service hours performed in Story County is reflective of 24 Eagle Scout projects that provided 4000 hours of service and a value of over $91,000 to the county. The additional 6000 hours are accumulated by our Cub Scouts, Scout BSA and Venture youth through out the year. Scouting has service at its core and a youth is exposed to and takes part in service to their community as a memer of the Boy Scouts of America.
Partners
The members of the Boy Scouts of America partner with local food shelves, the Salvation Army, local libraires, churches, parks, schools and other community organizations to provide service to the residents of the communities they live in.
Action Plan
The Prairie Winds District will continue to partner with and provide service to the communties in Story County. They look to provide a coordinated food drive in the County in the future and are always looking to help make our comunities a better place to live.
