Story Behind the Curve
FY25: The total number of clients served with minimum, normal, and intensive assessed risk level may not equal the total number of survey responses. In some cases the data is not known due to probation revocation and/or case transfer prior to completion of the risk assessment. In other cases, clients do not meet the cut off score risk level to be classified as minimum, normal, or intensive levels of supervision. (7/10/25, SS)
07/23: The total number of clients served with minimum, normal, and intensive assessed risk level may not equal the total number of survey responses due to clients who do not meet the cut off score risk level to be classified as minimum, normal, or intensive levels of supervision. (7/14/23, SS)
As of FY21-22, due to the hiring of a new Executive Director in Oct. 2021, minimum assessed risk level is understood to mean the number of clients who were classified at a minimum level of supervision on the risk scale utilizing the Iowa Assessment of Client Risk tool. (SS, 4/19/22)
FY20-21: Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and quarantine, there were fewer arrests during this period which created fewer clients sentenced to probation. There was also a delay in all court hearings during the quarantine so this created a large time lag for cases to be adjudicated and put on probation during this period.
FY19-20:This number is total number of surveyed clients from January 1, 2020-June 30, 2020. Collection of Survey data began in January 2020, future years will include the full year of data.
