What is this about?
This indicator uses States of Jersey Fire and Rescue Service data to monitor the number of people being killed or injured in fires each year. Factors that can influence this indicator over time include individual fire safety awareness, smoking rates and the fire security of buildings (ncluding smoke detector installation).
Five people were injured in fires in 2020. There were no fire-related deaths.
