What is this about?
This indicator tracks the volume of diesel road fuel imported into Jersey.
In general, the volume of diesel fuel charged to excise duty has fallen since 2018. 2020 saw a more pronounced reduction of 11% due principally to the effect of Covid pandemic restrictions leading to a reduction in the use of road vehicles. In 2022, diesel accounted for 42% of road fuel used in the Island.
