Story Behind the Curve
In 2019, there were 167 Naloxone kits distributed to the public. There was a significant increase in distribution in from Jan - Sept 2020, at 551 kits. This is a result of increased awareness and use through collaboration among the LCHD and area partners.
Action Plan
- Create and implement a workplan and an outreach plan- continue evaluation and documentation
- Use various media platforms to spread awareness and use:
- Billboards in strategic locations to target high-risk individuals and populations
- Flyers, collaboration with CORE, radio, newspaper, 211 helpline
- Attend community outreach events regularly
- Offer monthly trainings at the Health District
- Curbside training (d/t COVID-19)
- Online mail-order program
