Data Discussion
FY23: The children who completed the kindergarten readiness assessment all were marked “not ready for kindergarten.” This result was age appropriate for 4 of the 5 children. The fifth child has developmental delays and cannot be expected to be accurately tested. FSP will continue to prioritize kindergarten readiness with these children and support the developmentally delayed child by connecting them to community resources. FSP recognizes this child may require non-traditional education goals and is prepared to navigate the educational goals with the family.
FY22: The two children in the program that are of age for the Kindergarten Readiness test are not at a “ready for Kindergarten” state. This is due to one child only being 3 years old and still working on the skills needed to have a more successful transition to kindergarten and the other child having developmental delays.
