Story Behind the Curve
Young adults who perceive that there is harm from use of a particular substance are at lower risk for using that substance. For the Young Adult Survey, data for Essex and Orleans Counties are combined due to small numbers of respondents. This measure for young adults in Vermont and in Essex/Orleans Counties has been declining over time, though increased in 2022 in Essex/Orleans Counties (difference between 2020 and 2022 is statistically significant).
