Story Behind the Curve: CATCH My Breath 

• Catch My Breath was implemented in March and October of 2023 for 6th grade students whose parents allowed them to take this class. 
• It was taught at all 4 Middle Schools in Franklin County and was presented during Social Studies/Science classes. 
• In March 2023, out of all 6th grade students in Franklin County only 24 students turned in "opt-out" forms meaning vast majority of students received this lesson. 
• This class was taught over a 4-week span.
• This number can fluctuate in years to come as it is a reflection upon the number of students currently enrolled in 6th grade for Franklin County Public Schools, however we do hope to see the number of "opt-outs" reduce over the coming years.
