Story Behind the Curve
Work with faith-based institutions is a part of the Health Department's strategic plan. We want to Continue increasing partnerships and collaboration with groups from various sectors, including academic, military, healthcare, and faith-based organizations. This priority has an SMART objective for the Triple P program staff to establish a community leadership team (CLT) within the 18 county region to include at least 5-10 members representing public health, social services, mental health, non profits, and faith-based communities by June 2025. This work hasn't started yet. It is still in preliminary stages. We have been limited in offering the program to faith-based institutuions due to staffing turnover and limited accredited educators available, training funding reduced, and recruitment for the CLT in progress.
