Story Behind the Curve
SB6 programs are required to collect satisfaction surveys from the schools/districts where SB6 services are provided and to report the aggregated results to the Vermont Department of Mental Health.
The 2019-2020 school year surveys were conducted in the early phase of the COVID-19 pandemic when both schools and designated agencies were pivoting to providing supports to students through remote settings. For SFYs 2021-2023, with the noted social, emotional, and behavioral challenges that students were experiencing, schools remained highly satisfied with their partnership with their local Designated Agency's school mental health programs. Local schools and districts continued to express interest in contracting with the Designated Agencies for school mental health services, yet the Designated Agencies struggled to fill the total number of requested positions under these contracts due to workforce challenges.

Notes on Methodology
Designated Agencies send surveys to the local schools that contracted for SB6 services to evaluate the schools' satisfaction with those services. The reported rates are the overall satisfaction score for each of the seven (7) questions from the survey. The results combine responses across all subsets of Success Beyond Six: School-based Behavioral Services, School-based Clinical Services, and Concurrent Education Rehabilitation and Treatment (CERT) therapeutic schools.
