EMS Instructors conduct initial and ongoing education for EMR, EMT, AEMT and paramedic programs. An EMS instructor must hold certification as an EMT, advanced EMT or licensure as a paramedic. This means that the number of EMS instructors is included in other reports. Note that 2023 reflects a significant reduction due to expiration of COVID-19 extension of certifications.
