FY24: All children made progress as reported on their post test screenings and parent surveys. Q1: At the beginning of the program the children were screened for their ACEs scores. At the end they were given the same screening and 6/9 had reduced scores. 3 children had the same score as the pre test. When we looked at progress for the children whose scores did not change. These children did show improvement in social skills and coping but still had mental health struggles that needed ongoing services. They were enrolled in mental health but additional services were referred to for support (PRP and respite). Q2: all children were screened for ACEs in the first session. At the end of that cohort all children were given a post test screening. 10 children showed a reduction in scores, 2 stated the same, and one showed an increase in scores due to the loss of a parent during htis group session. All children made gains in coping skills and emotional regulation, even with the trauma that the one child experienced. Q3: All children were screened for ACES and given a pre and posttest survey. 7 children had significant decreases in scores, 1 dropped out, 1 stayed the same, and 3 had very minor increase of 1, 6 children had an increase in scores due to events that occurred while in the program within their family. 4 children will repeat the program as indicated by scores. 10 have ongoing mental health care. This cohort had more parental communication and parent survey response. Q4: All children were screened for ACES and given a pre and posttest survey. 2 dropped out so we do not have their post test scores. All but 1 had significant decreases in scores. The one that increased was very slight and there was no identifiable reason for the increase. Parent and child indicated improvements and satisfaction with the program.
