Story Behind the Curve
The North Carolina Division of Public Health's (DPH) Foundational Capabilities Opportunities Analysis conducts a survey with all DPH staff as part of DPH's strategic priority to build a durable statewide infrastructure that supports the Foundational Public Health Capabilities. The hope is to identify through the survey the strengths and gaps in the Foundational Capabilities across all DPH department sections. The survey will provide a snapshot of how well DPH covers the Foundational Public Health Services and will be used to determine where investments are most needed to strengthen our public health systems in the future.
Communications include develeoping appropriately tailored communications and communications mechanisms for the public, professional, and state and locat media, such as risk communication and health educationand prevention strategies.
