In March 2024, 77% of the Northern Middle School CATCH My Breath program participants indicated that they were aware of the harmful effects of vaping. This is the baseline rate.
In March 2025, 95% of the 123 CATCH My Breath program participants indicated that they were aware of the harmful effects of vaping. The lessons focused on the various parts of the body that were adversely affected by vaping.

Partners for the CATCH My Breath program included the Person County Board of Education; health and physical education teachers from Northern Middle School and Southern Middle School; school principals; and Person County Schools' Nurse Supervisor.
