Story Behind the Curve
Graduation rate has been impacted by the pandemic in the second phase of the school year. Ohio’s education community understands the need of providing continued flexibility during pandemic time and thereby provides resources like additional alternative pathways for graduation, EWIMS, State Improvement Plan, Whole Child Framework that contributes towards maintaining consistent graduation rate.
Students graduation plans are affected by following factors:
- Unable to meet credit requirements
- Science is the most difficult section for students to pass on state test
- Family needs support
- Childcare needs for siblings
- Lack of stable housing
- Lack of stable income
- Lack of caring adult in their lives
