86.0%
Definition
Measure Definition
Percentage of new DHHS employees that attend the Division of Customer Experience in-person or virtual new employee orientation (NEO) within 30 days of hire date. Operational Units (JJYS, USH, USDC, DCFS) that have their own new employee orienation are excluded from this measure.
National data is not available.
Story Behind the Curve
Over the past 3 quarters, very consistent (88% average) attendance rates for NEO. New hire registration is now part of the onboarding process. In addition, OLDT reviews the new hire list provided by DHRM and contacts employees directly if they have not signed up for NEO. This has been very effective in improving attendance.
