September 2023, the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Belonging began hosting trainings called Governing for Racial Equity and Facilitating for Racial Equity 2-Day Workshop which are facilitated by the Government Alliance on Race & Equity (GARE)/RACE Forward trainers. In collaboration with Behavioral Health, an Understanding Gender, Attraction, and Expression Beyond the Binary: A SOGIE 101 training is offered. These training are available to all Public Health Department and Department of Environmental Health staff and are highly recommended. Training rosters will be collected to tally the number of staff completing the training each fiscal year. Updated percentages will be posted to the dashboard each summer.
