The lack of knowledge on how to obtain mental health treatment is evident according to data. In 2014 there were 15 suicide deaths in Stokes County. Mental Health and Suicide deaths have been a problem in Stokes County for over ten years. In 2019 there were 5 total suicide deaths in Stokes County. The dip in the line indicates that Youth Haven Services and Daymark Recovery Services have been effective. Unfortunately, Covid 19 hit December 2019 and 2020 and we see an increase in the suicide deaths, indicating just how detrimental Covid-19 was to our mental health. 

Youth Haven Services is a rehabilitation agency in Reidsville, NC.  The residential facility is in nearby Rockingham County.  The agency is operated by Seaside Healthcare.  We utilize evidenced based practices which emphasize supportive, therapeutic relationships between providers, clients, and families/caregivers. They offer individual & family counseling, Medication Management, Intensive In Home Services, Day Treatment, Multisystemic Therapy, and Residential Level III (Females and Males). They serve children, adolescents, and their families.   The accept Medicaid Direct, NC Healthchoice, NC Managed CAre Plans, and BCBS private insurance.
