Measure Definition
This measure indicates the percentage of inmates 18 through 75 years of age with diabetes whose recent HbA1c is less than 8 percent. A hemoglobin A1C measures the average blood sugar level over the past two to three months which is used to monitor how well people with diabetes are managing their condition.
