The percentage of Facilities’ construction projects related to City-owned buildings completed on time and under budget is an industry measure of how effectively construction projects are managed. It shows how well the City uses its human and economic resources to complete construction projects on buildings housing City employees who provide services to the public.

Additionally, Facilities complies with all laws and City policies to meet City goals of providing City contracts to minority and women-owned business and providing family wage jobs to community members.

The data shows that construction projects owned by the City have consistently been completed on time and under budget at least 80 percent of the time.

This percentage was calculated using information from construction projects with a budget of $100,000 or more for buildings owned and operated by the Bureau of Fleet & Facilities.. Each construction project has an established schedule and budget, and that information is compared to the actual, final project cost and completion date, with allowance for change orders or amendments typical for large construction projects.
