Story Behind the Curve
The ultimate goal of state care is to provide children and youth with safe, permanent homes - ideally with their parents. From their frist day in stae care, socials workers work towards two goals at teh same time (concurrent planning):
1. To return children home to their parents
2. To help children secure other permanent placements - preferably with extended family members or known connections - if they cannot safetly return home.
