Due to COVID-19, family events could not be held and/or have had to be scaled back to comply with public health practices. This has impacted participation numbers for HFY2 2020, FY21, and FY22.
FY21 - The vendor successfully continued this afterschool program while school was mostly virtual in Talbot County. To maintain the program and student/family connection, staff packaged and delivered weekly care packs to each household with materials and ingredients for the upcoming Healthy Habits lesson. This was an effective adaptation during a challenging year for out of school activities. With public health restrictions eased at the end of the school year, the vendor hosted a family celebration with 48 families in attendance.
FY17 - FY19 - There were two Healthy Habits afterschool programs in Talbot.
