Story Behind the Curve
This outcome report marks the completion of the Tomlinson Center's 16th year of operation. The Tomlinson Center continues to be a vital community resource for adults experiencing mental health crisis in the Franklin and Grand Isle County communities. The Tomlinson Center's goals continue to involve maintaining and evolving a high level of accessibility to the community, care coordination for each client served, reducing emergency room use, preventing inpatient psychiatric hospitalization through supported community reintegration, and reducing the length of stay of inpatient hospitalizations by continuing care through step-down services.
Over the course of this reporting period, the Tomlinson Center had 172 total admissions, compared to the 143 in the last reporting period. This represents a significant increase in total admissions compared to the last reporting period. Of these total admissions, 80.8% (n=139) were non-duplicate clients compared to last year’s total of 53.4% (n=79).
