The percentage of youth achieving this performance measure trended in the right direction despite youth experiencing a number of challenges that included:
- Jobs that were lost due to furloughs.
- Reduced opportunities for internships and volunteer positions in the community, as a result, of social distancing mandates.
FY19
This is a challenge area for this first year program - they are experiencing difficulty keeping youth on track to meet objectives from their goal plans. This particular population has other priorities arise (e.g. staying in school; getting passing grades) that often create a barrier for moving forward with employment goals.
