Story Behind the Curve
To improve families ability to connect with community resources, saff work with families to identify resources in the community. Guest presenters attend parent trainings during vaiours functions such as the Summer and Holiday gatherings. When families can navigate community resources they are able to build resilience. They can identify resources to assist with developmental, physical and behavioral programs for their families.

- Kent Family Center - refers families and provides services to Healthy Families participants.
- Kent County Public Schools - provides services through Infants and Toddlers and Special Education
- Chesapeake College Childcare Resource Center - provides child care support to families seeking providers.
- Delmarva Community Transit - provides transportation services.
- Local Food Banks - provides donations for qualifying families.
- Judy Center-have joint activities for trainings and socialization activities
What Works
To improve famlies ability to connect with community resources, the staff works diligently to create engagement opportunities for families. Guest presenters attend annual events such as summer and holiday gatherings, to explain their services and allow parents to make a personal connection. Staff organize activities with other programs for resource building and actively participate in community partnerships like the Judy Center to stay informed and connected on local developments.
