Story Behind the Curve
An average of 30 families were served per year over that past three years (FY16-FY18) with a retention rate of 63%. Families who voluntarily leave the program usually do so when they move out of the service area, experience a miscarriage, have a conflict in work or school schedules, or have felt they no longer need the extra support.

What Works
Healthy Families works closely with local early childhood partners and have been able to establish a strong referral network. Their work with families is relationship based, which mothers facing poverty respond well to - the family support worker becomes an important part of the family’s support network and leads to word of mouth referrals as well.
Data Discussion
