What Works to Do Better (Performance)?
The "Story Behind the Curve" helps us understand the causes and forces at that work that explain the data behind AVOID.
The AVOID curriculum started off strong with 223 total students and was taught to grades 6-8 at Robbinsville Middle School, during the fall semester. The curriculum is five sessions and each session builds on the previous session. The curriculum goes over what vapes are, what chemicals are in vapes, nicotine, advertising (past and present), and predicting the future of vaping. There is hands on activities for the middle schoolers to participate in and to interact with one another. It opens up discussion about vaping and why it is bad, why they shouldn't vape or why they should stop if they are currently vaping, and gives them an indept look at vaping.
