April, May, June, 2021 Q2 2021

Due to limited outreach screening potential, it has been extremely difficult to provide screening during COVID. We were thrilled to be able to provide 35 people with blood tests this quarter, indicating that things were returning to normal. Blood screenings were conducted at one of the cancer prevention events for the Korean community and the Accessiblity Diversity Services Initiative, with clinicans from Storr Liver Clinic and Western Sydney LHD providing support.

Q4 2019 

A total of 87 people were screened for hepatitis B this quarter.

This number mainly comes from:

- Hello Doctor event at Granville TAFE (42): students actively engaged in screening.

- Education session at Bualkham Hills (26): we found that a session can motivate more audiences to take a test, compared with test alone. 

19 people were screened from 2 education sessions. Thanks to the testing van from Storr Liver Centre in Westmead Hospital, making it much more convenient to do screening on a session.

Q3 2019

A total of 118 people were screened for hepatitis B this quarter.

65 were from HBV stall event at UNSW Kingsford campus. 65 people received blood tests and 63 received fibroscans. This was attributed to the hard work from two nurses from UNSW health sector and two CNCs from Southestern Sydney LHD.

Another 44 were from our Hep B Free Banquet event at Club Central Hurstville. Each of them received both blood test and fibroscan, performed by two CNCs from St George Hospital and two blood collectors from an external pathology lab.
