Story Behind the Curve
FY21: The CCFN Coordinator worked closely with Southern Maryland Community Network (SMCN) to build program capacity and to promote the program in the community. CCFN in partnership with SMCN develop an outreach and promotion plan for the program and monitored outcomes weekly. Even still, the Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Thereapy (TF-CBT) component of the program did not serve any youth in the first half of FY21. On January 25, 2021,(SMCN) submitted a 30 day notice to terminate the TF-CBT portion of the program. SMCN cited the increased need for crisis related services for youth and families amid the COVID19 Pandemic. SMCN reports families are not seeking trauma focused treatment at this time.
