'Average time on website' counts the average amount of time people spend on our website. We consistently meet this performance measure.

We spent much of 2023 to early 2024 re-designing and updating the content of hep.org.au. We are very happy with the new interface and have been getting great feedback from our visitors. Our Google Analytics have been showing excellent numbers, much of which we can attribute to the new web design.

There is a natural trend towards more views and visits to our site around the time of campaigns and Hepatitis Awareness Week and World Hepatitis Day. These events meant an increase in stats for our website around that time, which then drops to regular, but healthy levels.

Our 'website' presence includes Google Analytics from our main website hep.org.au, our microsites (hepb.org.au + hepc.org.au) and ISSUU.

We continue working with REEF, a web marketing consultancy, to work further with our Google search scoring and the quality of our pages, so as to continually increase the number of visitors to our website.

The release of new issues of Tx! and The Champion e-newsletter are the major factors that attract traffic to our site and encourage people to spend time on our pages. Hep related events, news and our own hepatitis campaigns also play a big part in attracting visitors to look around for longer. We tend to promote site visitors exploring our website on a pathway or journey rather than jump in-jump out.

We have been including links within the site that draw visitors into other parts of the site, before they exit. We have also included an easy to use page rating system that helps us gauge how well each page is meeting the needs of our site visitors.
