Story Behind the Curve
The CT DPH has made ongoing efforts to ensure that all local health jurisdictions have at least one staff person who is trained in lead inspection or lead inspection-risk assessment. This ensures a timely response by a local health jurisdiction to childhood lead poisoning cases that require environmental investigations, as well as to paint and housing-related complaints made by local residents. The number of trained code enforcement officials has slightly increased as the result of these site visits and meetings with local authorities.
These data are current as of February 2020.
