Story Behind the Curve
The development and distribution of educational materials and other publications allows CT DPH to reach a broad audience of workers and employers over several different industry sectors. In 2013, the 23 materials produced by the Occupational Health Unit were released via the CT DPH Facebook page and Twitter feed and later posted to the CT DPH website. In addition, the Occupational Health Unit partnered with several industry representative organizations in our state to distribute hard-copy materials to hundreds of member businesses in the state representing thousands of workers.
These data are current as of July 2020.

What Works
The CT DPH Occupational Health Program has developed and maintained partnerships with several outside stakeholder agencies, both public- and private-sector, to improve our ability to develop and appropriately target delivery of educational materials directly to workers in the state.
Action Plan
CT DPH Occupational Health Program staff routinely develops new educational materials on a variety of occupational safety and health topics directed at workers, employers, legislators, other agency partners, and the general public. In addition, items of interest to the workers in our state that are generated by outside agencies are also passed through our agency and distributed to other interested stakeholders.
